. The visit was to follow up on the most pressing issues in the backdrop of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Navi Mumbai. There is an absolute lax in measures and issues by the NMMC administration. Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik first met the NMMC Commissioner in his office and took up several issues that the administration seems to be overlooking in Navi Mumbai in the backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic. From the delay in making the NMMC created COVID Hospital at Vashi’s CIDCO Exhibition Ground, to the negligence against schools demanding fees, MLA Ganesh Naik demanded efforts and actions to contain the pandemic and its impact on citizens lives and health in Navi Mumbai on war footing. It is rather unfortunate that, the NMMC created COVID Hospital at Vashi’s CIDCO Exhibition Ground is being delayed for a political inauguration. Citizens lives are at stake. It’s unfortunate if some people are trying to seek political mileage from the COVID-19 pandemic in Navi Mumbai like this.
