Van-bhojan with Students at Adhivashi Ashram Van-bhojan organized by the vashi based trust at karjat, Shree Hanuman Mandir Trust Juhu Gaon Vashi organized Van-bhojan program for the Students at Adhivashi Ashram School Punglas, at Paras Point resort Karjat Taluka on January 8.
Various sports and cultural activities also took place on this occasion student and teachers participate in big number, there are 450 students 45teachers took part in Van-bhojan. Gifts are distributed to the students and teachers. After fishing all the fun activities students enjoyed Van-bhojan (Lunch) organized by the trust.
School Principal Sanjay Magade on behalf of the school felicitates Shree Hanuman Mandir Trust President Lalchand Bhoir by giving them flowers and painting. At the end of the lunch, a farm visit was organised. All Students visited a nearby village to meet an organic farmer and see his field and understand what he grows.
Lalchand Bhoir said “Our attempt is to show the city people that healthy, seasonal and tasty food exists in nature. I hope city people realise how far away from nature we have moved and that being close to nature is possible, as shown by these tribals.”
“In the midst of the rush and stress of city life, events like Van-Bhojan are like a breath of fresh air.” He said
The Students loved the experience and promised to return again for another round of traditional food and rich adivasi culture.
